Hi all, and thanks for visiting my blog.




I'm Erin, and I'm a full-time stay-at-home mom to a beautiful baby girl, Audrey. When I'm not busy with mommy duties, I'm guaranteed to be in front of my sewing machine, creating something!







I've been sewing since I was 12 years old; mostly clothing and home decor, and a lot of necessary hemming and darning projects. My quilty-creativeness hit me hard when I was pregnant with little Audrey - and then my husband bought me a new machine for my first Mother's Day, and I was off and running!




Sew at Home Mummy: Simply Solids a modern {bee}

I absolutely LOVE the modern quilting movement; the use of solids, improvisational, funky piecing...and the list goes on.... so much so that I created a rather large online Flickr bee called Simply Solids: a modern {bee}... (109 participants from all over the world) the participants are required to only use solids in their block construction - and so far, the results have been astounding!






I sew on two machines; a Singer 9960 (pictured above), and a vintage Brother Pacesetter from the '70s. I call the Pacesetter "Bessy"...







My little girl will never be lacking in quilts...mama most definitely has a fabric/quilting addiction! ha ha ha.
